Lenten Worship Series
"O come, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (based on Hebrews 12:2)
When the characters in the Passion narrative look at Jesus, what do they see?
How did various people around Jesus view Him?
How should we view Jesus?
During this season of Lent, we will “fix our eyes” on Jesus, by seeing again what He has done to save us from our sins. With believing eyes, we will see again His holy, precious blood and His innocent sufferings and death.
Join us to begin this series on Wednesday February 26th at 7:00 pm. We will see how Jesus’ disciples have “Misjudging Eyes”. They miss all of His signs; they don’t realize Jesus will soon suffer, die and be gone. They misjudge an anonymous woman’s anointing of Jesus in preparation for His burial. What should we see?
