 Serving others is our mission.
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)
Realizing and receiving Jesus' amazing love is a life-changing experience! We begin to learn all that he desires for his people - his love, his contentment, his providence, and his purposes. God lays before us the amazing task of sharing his message with the world, and then he provides every tool we need to accomplish that mission. In the Christian life, we are never left out to dry - not knowing what to do or being without the resources to do it. God uses the Bible and his people to help us figure it all out. All that is needed from us is a willing spirit, which he helps to encourage.
It may take a little while to realize exactly what you are supposed to do or how God has prepared you, but there is no getting around it. Each of us has special gifts and talents to be used for the glory of God. Serving God and others, in whatever form, is our call in life. Doing the work God has prepared for us is what every redeemed believer was created for.
Because we are prone to make mistakes, God has brought our faith community together to support one another, spur each other on in love, and follow where he leads.
