Young 5’s Weekly News
March 27, 2017
X is our letter this week. X says the ks sound as in the end of fox. “Can” is our new sight word. Our author focus is Robert Munsch.
Friday, April 7 is the Detroit Tigers Opening Day. I personally feel this is a day worth celebrating each year. We will have an Opening Day celebration in the classroom. We will eat popcorn, Cracker Jacks, and nachos. I could use one parent volunteer to help with batting practice weather permitting. We will also watch a movie that morning while we enjoy our snacks.
We will be learning about the Last Supper this week. Jesus and His disciples were celebrating the Passover Meal. It was on this night that Jesus introduced the Lord’s Supper. This was His last supper because that night He was taken away to be crucified.
