Young 5’s Weekly News

This week we are learning about the letter Z. Z says the sound you hear in the beginning of zebra. Our new sight word this week is “is.” As you look through the Z book you’ll notice that the pictures starting with Z page has a blimp on it. This is a Zeppelin. Some of you may have known that was another name for it, I did not and would never expect a preschooler to. I will tell the children so they can color it and likely write it in too.
The center theme this week is Eric Carle. We will be reading some Eric Carle books but we will do more with Eric Carle in March as we highlight one author each week.

This week we will learn about how Jesus blessed the children. The disciples pushed the children away as they approached Jesus. They thought the children were not as important as the adults. Jesus taught them otherwise. J
