Young 5’s Weekly News
January 16, 2017
We are learning about the letter K this week. K says the sound you hear in the beginning of kite. We will also be discussing, sorting, and learning about healthy food to go along with our Bible lesson. Our first sight word we are focusing on is “I.” You will see a worksheet come home on Monday. We will do one word a week but the day of the week will vary so everyone gets a chance to participate. These will be added to the word wall. I would encourage you to work on sight words at home if you know your child is ready. I recommend Bob books and flash cards. Start simple (2-5 words) and add more as they are mastered.
Please email me or drop me a note if you or your family have a prayer request. I will begin it by praying for two families each week (alphabetically). We will all pray together for these families. If you see them, remind them we are praying for them. If your family is one we are praying for, let us know how we can be praying for you.
Michigan Academy of Gymnastics field trip is Tuesday, January 31. Please turn in the permission slips. It is easiest if you include the money at the same time.
We are learning about Jesus feeding the 5000. This was another miracle Jesus performed.
