Young 5’s Weekly News

October 31, 2016

This week we will be reviewing the letters we have learned so far.  We have learned Ll, Oo, Gg, Hh, Aa, Nn, Tt, & Pp.  We will be doing many activities we have done already and some we have not.  We will also be doing some projects to work on decorating our room for Thanksgiving.

Halloween Party Info:  Children can come dressed in their costumes but please have them fully clothed under their costumes.  Please provide a labeled bag for the costume to go back into.   I will be meticulous when I take the costumes off to be sure all pieces are in the bag.  You will need them that evening.  J

Parent/teacher conferences will be Wednesday, November 2 and Thursday, November 3.

Jesus Time

This week we will learn about Moses’ birth.  At the time Moses was born, the Israelites were slaves in Egypt.  The Egyptians feared that the Israelites would rise up against them because there were so many.  They decided that all newborn boys were to be thrown into the river.  Moses’ mother hid him and eventually put him in a basket in the river where Pharaoh’s daughter found him and raised him in the palace.  God had plan for Moses.
